I've decided that I'm going to try to write a journal once a week talking about that week. (Basically I'm just going to be prattling on about my life) I figure this will be a good way to remember what all God has given me.
So here we go!
(Monday the 24th)
The week started off a little shaky, my dad broke one of his Back molars and had to go to the dentist. They ended up removing it, and my dad had to stay home from work.
Though later in the evening he and my mom ended up back at the dentist do to the fact that his mouth kept bleeding.
The dentist managed to get the bleeding to stop, and he's doing great now.
(Tuesday the 25th)
We started fixing various food items for Thanksgiving, which went better then it might have, thanks to my mom walking away from my grandmother who was in the mood for a fight. She and her sister both have this absurd opinion that Thanksgiving, and pretty much every other holiday, and birthday is just another day, and can be canceled if there not in the mood for it.
(Wednesday the 26th)
We made pretty much everything, but the turkey for the following day.
It was fun both my grandma and my mom where in good moods. We had fun cooking and baking with each other.
My mom went ahead and made the fruit cake for Christmas, which has to cure (for lake of a better word) for at least a month. During that time we periodically pour heated peach schnapps over it, which helps keep it moist, and adds extra flavor.
I lost my mind for a second and decided to eat one of the red candied cherries that is in fruit cake, and it made me super crazy hyper in less the five minutes. (Red food coloring and me don't mix)
Oh, and we also cleaned the house.
(Thursday the 27th)
Thanksgiving! I got up early so that I could watch the Macy's parade. It's a family tradition that only I care about. I use to watch the parade with my great grandfather when I was little, and wasn't old enough to help with the cooking.
The food was wonderful as always, we had chicken and dumplings, fried cornbread dressing, home made cranberry sauce, and relish, green beans, Jameson sweet potatoes, and two kinds of turkey, one that my dad smoked, (which I haven't eaten any of because smoked food upsets my stomach) and a oven roasted one that my mom made.
Then for Deseret we had pumpkin pie, lemon meringue pie, and a pumpkin cheese cake.
After lunch we all sort of did are own thing, my grandma watched cop shows, my mom and I both went to read a little, my dad played minecraft, and my brother did whatever it is he does.
We fed our pets a little earlier the normal.
Then my mom, grandma, and I set out to do some Christmas shopping.
If we go next year I'm wearing three pairs of socks instead of two, and I going to wear my fake fur lined boots. My toes felt like ice cubes by the time we got in the store.
I took my 3DS with me, and worked on getting through Victory Road on my Pokemon Y game while we waited.
We didn't stay out to long, and we only went to two stores, but it was fun.
(Friday the 28th)
Not much happened on Friday. Apart from discovering that the eggs in our cricket nursery (we rise crickets to feed to my frogs, and my moms toad) had started hatching. So we had to move the adult crickets that we put in nursery aquarium to lay the eggs out so that they wouldn't eat the hatchlings, which they would do, because their nasty.
I also moved my frogs from a 10 gallon aquarium to a 20 gallon aquarium, that way they have more room to jump around before hitting a wall.
They haven't gotten use to it yet, Buttercup has actually buried herself. If she hasn't come out by tomorrow I'm going to have to dig her out, to make sure that she's not to dry.
We watched Monsters University, which was a fun and heartwarming movie, I love Mike, and Sulley.
(Saturday the 29th)
I got up early again and when to the Goodwill store with my mom, grandma, and great aunt, to find me some new (if you can call them that, since they came from a used store) jeans. Found some nice one, and also found a book with all kinds of prayers through out the centuries starting with the Psalms, and moving on from there.
We then went to Walmart, were I found a collection of Tobymac CDs and Jeremy Camp CDs which are awesome!
(Sunday the 1st)
We started putting up our Christmas Decorations.
I got into a small disagreement with my brother, over Jeremy Camp's version of Jingle Bell Rock. Which my brother seams to be an originalist about. He actually said that he hated Jeremy Camp simply because he sang the song a little bit differently.
I ended the disagreement by telling him to shut up and listen to his own music if he doesn't like mine. Which was rude, but I get tired of him hating on the stuff I like.
I also started working on my Christmas project.
And that's the basic summery of my week.
So did you guys have a good week? Did anything interesting happen?
